Dissertation: Frequently Asked Questions & Guidance
How the 12-week MSc dissertation period works — supervision meetings, assessment, what to prepare, and where to get help.
About these notes
Each note is written by the member of staff named on it, in their own words, for their own students. They describe how that person works — what they expect, how they run supervision, what they will and will not do in a meeting.
They are not University regulations. Canvas, the module handbook and your own supervisor are the authoritative source for deadlines, assessment weightings and anything that affects your marks. Where a note and the handbook disagree, the handbook wins.
